Long tail keywords usually have low search volume, low competition (keyword difficulty) and are usually more than three words.

To find long tail keywords, we can use free tools like

  • Google Auto Complete
  • Related Searches
  • Ubersuggest

In the Google search bar, you will type the main keyword and Google automatically completes your query.

Choose the ones with four or more words and list them down. These are good long tail keywords that you can later filter according to SEO difficulty and integrate them in your content for easy ranking.

Another way to do this is by going down the search engine result page (SERP). Here, you will find a list of terms entitled related searches. All these are long tail keywords.

The left panel is the keyword finder where you will have a simple search box and this is where you type in your seed word and click Search. The search box allows you to select a specific language, restrict your results to a particular country or city.

Let’s put the keyword “long tail keywords” in the search bar.

You will now see a huge list of keywords and their difficulty scores. The difficulty score is ranked on a scale of 0 – 100. Any keyword below 39 is easy to rank for. All easy-to-rank-for long tail keywords are in green color to help in easily identifying them.
